Most of us will need long-term care but don't have a way to pay for it. The WA Cares Fund is the state’s long-term care insurance program for workers and is designed to help workers pay for long-term care when they need it. Working Washingtonians contribute 0.58% of each paycheck to access up to $36,500 in lifetime benefits (which grows over time with inflation) to cover various long-term care supports and services.
