NWRC is proud to offer internships across all departments to students currently enrolled in a post-secondary academic program.

If you are interested in interning with our agency, please complete an internship application below and submit to NWRCHumanResources@dshs.wa.gov along with a resume and your school’s programmatic requirements. All internship applications will be reviewed to assess alignment with NWRC’s program offerings and current field supervisor capacity.

To best serve our social services interns and NWRC clients, we look for alignment in the following areas:

  • A passion for helping older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers.
  • Prior professional experience or exposure, preferably in human services.
  • Longer-term internship placements

NWRC serves older adults, adults with disabilities and caregivers, thus interns seeking experience with supporting children and families may want to source an internship with an agency that serves those populations.
